Jaigarh Fort
Visit Jaigarh Fort, the rugged hilltop fortress built by Sawai Jai Singh II, known for its commanding views over the Aravalli hills and Amber below, and for Jaivana — once the largest cannon on wheels in the world.
About Jaigarh Fort and Amber Fort
We take you to Jaigarh Fort rather than Amber Fort, and the reason is simple: Amber Fort is known for the elephant rides up the hill, and a lot of travelers would rather not do them. Jaigarh sits on the same hill and is every bit as grand. Prefer Amber Fort instead? We are happy to swap it in for a little extra cost — and your car can drive right up to the top, so there is no elephant ride involved. Want to see both forts? That can be arranged too, again for a little extra. Just tell us after you book and we will sort it out.
Hawa Mahal — Palace of Winds (Photo Stop)
Pause for photographs at the Hawa Mahal, the five-story “Palace of Winds” with its honeycomb façade of 953 small windows, built so royal women could watch the street below unseen.

- Amber Fort can be visited in place of Jaigarh Fort, or both forts together, for a little extra cost — your car can drive right up to the top of Amber Fort, so no elephant ride is needed. Please mention this at the time of booking.
- The Jal Mahal is viewed from the lakeside — entry to the palace itself is not permitted.
- The Hawa Mahal is a photo stop from the street; an interior visit can be arranged on request.
- You may keep your luggage in the car throughout the tour — your driver stays with the vehicle for the duration of the tour.
- Comfortable clothing and footwear are recommended — the forts involve some walking and stairs.
