The earliest pickup time is 2:30 AM, which brings you to the Taj Mahal gates for sunrise after a 3.5-hour drive via the Yamuna Expressway. Otherwise you can choose any pickup time from 3:00 AM to 10:00 AM and arrive at the Taj Mahal in time for a relaxed daylight visit.

There are two lovely ways to do this day. Take the 2:30 AM pickup and you’ll be at the Taj Mahal gates as they open, watching the marble light up with the sunrise — well worth the early alarm. Or pick any time from 3:00 AM to 10:00 AM and see the monument shining in full daylight instead. The car, the guide, the itinerary, and the price stay exactly the same either way — just let us know your preferred start when you book.

Visit the Taj Mahal

If Friday is the only day you have, no problem — your tour still goes ahead as planned. The Taj Mahal interior closes every Friday for prayer, so your guide brings you to the Yamuna riverside viewpoint for a lovely back-and-river view of the Taj. Agra Fort and the Baby Taj stay open, so you still see plenty.
Meal Break

Fatehpur Sikri (Optional Visit)
Fatehpur Sikri is a beautiful UNESCO-listed Mughal city near Agra. It is offered as an optional add-on rather than a standard inclusion because the site requires a separate entry ticket, a shared shuttle bus from the parking lot, and a local government-approved guide — all of which add cost. Please request it at the time of booking if you would like to include this stop. The drive from Agra is approximately 1 hour each way, plus around 45 minutes visiting the site — approximately 3 hours in total added to the day.

Important notes for this tour.
- The Taj Mahal interior is closed every Friday for prayer. On Fridays, your guide will take you to the riverside viewpoint across the Yamuna for a view of the monument.
- No “skip-the-line” system exists at the Taj Mahal. If any website claims otherwise, that information is incorrect.
- You may keep your luggage in the car throughout the tour — your driver stays with the vehicle for the duration of the tour.
- Videography cameras are not permitted inside the Taj Mahal. Mobile phones and a standard DSLR camera without additional lenses are also permitted. Large bags and food items are not allowed inside.
- The 2:30 AM sunrise option is followed by breakfast. Starting later? You can opt for lunch or dinner before returning to Delhi on request.
